About This Site
Would you like to know more about this little
corner of the Internet you've stumbled upon? The following will
sum it all up for you:
We Are A Classic Game Reviewal Site
Even the early 90s are a decade ago now, and
the games the crew of this site grew up with are either shunned
by graphic-philes, or looked on with quizzical awe. With the
current 80s revival, we figured it's time to pony up and put
our collective first-hand experience to good use for the new
generation of gamers interested in "the classics."
This Site Hosts No ROMs or Abandonware
We only review games. There's plenty
of ways to get ROMs and such, and that's not what we're about.
However, feel free to use this site as a guide for what to grab
and what not to bother with. To find such games, or ask for technical
help, there are plenty of sites in the abandonware rings (linked to on the front
page) that will be more than happy to help.

We Only Review "Decommisioned" Systems
What does this mean? Well, classic game review
has to have some definition. We define it as a system for which
games are no longer made, the system itself is no longer made,
and no first generation profits are being made. For PCs, we're
a little more lenient, and the cutoff year is 1999. And don't
ask where the PS2 and XBox reviews are. That "Retro"
isn't there to look pretty.
We're Doing This For Fun
This is a non-profit site, not hosted by a company
or otherwise supported. We're running this site because we enjoy
these games, and all the content you see here is done in our
spare time. However, we always encourage requests and submissions.
